Dionne is a Tech Career Coach and Speaker with 20 years of experience as a Software Developer, 2 year as an Agile Development Lead (aka Engineering Manager), and recently became an Application Development Manager – STEM. She is passionate about diversity in tech and increasing the number of women in tech, especially black women, as the stats are ridiculously low. In an industry commonly viewed as very mature white male dominated, only 19% of people in tech are women, and shockingly only 0.7% of people in tech are black women.
Dionne helps women, who are frustrated in their jobs, build inner confidence to make a career change into tech, through a soulful exploration of their mindset, skillsets and next steps.
To facilitate this Dionne has launched a Confidence Coaching Programme, for women who want to get clarity on their goals, identify limited beliefs and roadblocks that may be holding them back, work on shifting their mindset, get support to create a realistic plan to achieve their goals within a realistic timeframe, get support and guidance on roles in tech to pursue, and tech stacks to focus on, and most importantly, be held accountable while kick starting their tech career journey.
